ABOUT RJ E-NEST
The Inclusive Technology Business Incubator (i-TBI) is a three-year initiative supported by the Department of Science & Technology (DST) for educational institutions that aim to foster innovation and entrepreneurship culture among students, faculties, entrepreneurs, and nearby communities. The initiative aims to inculcate the spirit of Innovation & Entrepreneurship amongst students, innovators, and entrepreneurs, encourage and support innovative ideas, and create startups through incubation. RJ E-NEST is the i-TBI at RVR & JC College of Engineering, an umbrella organization for fostering entrepreneurship and nurturing tech startups. Our mission is to establish a vibrant innovation ecosystem that transcends geographical boundaries, supporting aspiring entrepreneurs in transforming their ideas into impactful startups.
As per DST funding guidelines, RJ E-NEST will provide the necessary capital fund to establish the infrastructure of the incubator. The incubator will reserve 60% space for incubation and will have a professional team with a full-time CEO and an incubation manager enabler. RJ E-NEST will have a separate section 8 company to professionally manage the incubator and will execute a lease agreement between the college and the new entity to lease the space earmarked for the incubator at no cost or at minimum rate. The incubator will have a dedicated CEO and an incubation manager enabler with domain knowledge and management expertise, working full time for RJ E-NEST. RJ E-NEST will have a transparent system for selection of incubatees and will execute appropriate agreements with incubatees.
